Booking Policy
Effective Date: June 21, 2026
At Chris Prael Private Chef Services, every dining experience is thoughtfully planned and customized to create a seamless and memorable event. These policies are designed to ensure clear expectations, professional service standards, and a smooth experience for both the client and the chef.
By submitting a booking request, paying a deposit, or using these services, you acknowledge and agree to these policies.
BOOKING PROCESS
To begin the booking process, clients must submit an inquiry through the website or contact Chris Prael Private Chef Services directly with the following details:
Desired event date
Event location
Estimated guest count
Type of culinary experience requested
Dietary restrictions or special requests
Once availability is confirmed, planning and coordination will begin, including menu development and event structuring.
An event is not considered reserved or confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
DEPOSIT & CONFIRMATION
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all private chef bookings.
The deposit confirms the event date, reserves time in the schedule, and covers planning, consultation, menu development, and ingredient sourcing.
Deposits are applied toward the total event balance.
Failure to submit the deposit does not guarantee availability of the requested date.
FINAL PAYMENT
The remaining balance is due no later than the day of the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If payment is not received as required, service may be withheld or canceled at the discretion of Chris Prael Private Chef Services.
FINAL GUEST COUNT
The final guest count must be confirmed prior to the event date.
This number determines ingredient purchasing, preparation, and overall planning.
Increases in guest count may be accommodated when possible and may result in additional charges.
Decreases in guest count do not automatically reduce the total price once ingredients have been purchased or preparation has begun.
MENU PLANNING
All menus are custom-designed based on client preferences, dietary needs, seasonal availability, and event style.
Menu details are finalized prior to the event to ensure proper sourcing and preparation.
Last-minute changes may not be possible if ingredients have already been purchased or preparation has begun.
KITCHEN & EVENT REQUIREMENTS
Clients are responsible for providing a clean, safe, and functional kitchen or cooking space.
Basic access to standard kitchen equipment (including stove, oven, sink, and refrigeration space) may be required depending on the menu.
If specialized equipment is required, it may be provided by the chef when necessary.
The client is responsible for ensuring safe access to the property and a suitable environment for service.
SERVICE DURATION
Private dining services include preparation, cooking, plating, service, and kitchen cleanup.
Service duration varies based on menu selection, guest count, and event complexity.
INGREDIENTS & SOURCING
High-quality, fresh, and seasonal ingredients are prioritized for all experiences.
Certain menus, including sushi, omakase, and specialty tasting experiences, may require premium or specialty-sourced ingredients secured specifically for the event.
Ingredient availability may affect final menu adjustments.
CLEANING & POST-SERVICE
Standard kitchen cleanup directly related to food preparation and service will be completed by the chef.
The kitchen will be left in a clean and orderly condition consistent with professional service standards.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS & ALLERGIES
Clients are fully responsible for disclosing all dietary restrictions, allergies, and food sensitivities prior to the event.
While every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate dietary needs, no environment can be guaranteed to be completely allergen-free.
Chris Prael Private Chef Services is not liable for allergic reactions resulting from undisclosed or incomplete information.
TRAVEL
Events outside the primary service area may be subject to a travel fee based on distance, time, and logistical requirements.
Any applicable travel fees will be discussed and confirmed during the booking process prior to final confirmation.
GRATUITY
Gratuity is not required but is always appreciated for exceptional service.
ACCEPTANCE OF POLICY
By submitting a booking request, paying a deposit, or receiving services, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
